GLENCOE, IL — A man drowned in a swimming pool Sunday in Glencoe, authorities said.

After arriving at the scene at 12:31 p.m., the officers removed a man from the water and began life-saving efforts, according to Glencoe Public Safety Department Deputy Chief Andrew Perley.

UPDATE: A spokesperson for the Lake County Coroner's Office said a 75-year-old man died in the pool as the result of a medical event, rather than a drowning. No further information was available about the man.
