Parking Restrictions Planned For Bike Winnetka Event

WINNETKA, IL — Street parking restrictions are planned throughout Winnetka on Saturday to make way for a family-friendly bicycle ride, village staff announced.

Bike Winnetka, organized by the Winnetka Park District, is a scenic group ride with 2-mile and 8-mile options through the village starting at Skokie Playfield, 600 Hibbard Road.

Up to 300 riders are permitted to register for the ride, with no on-site registration permitted, according to the park district.

Village staff provided the below map of the route with colored lines to indicate where street parking will be restricted.

Spots remained open Friday for the 2-mile option. Registered riders receive a t-shirt, raffles and a police escort, according to organizers.
