Resident's Credit Card Hit With More Than $4K in Bogus Charges

More Than $4K in Credit Card Fraud

A resident reported $4,622 of fraudulent credit card charges between 4:30 and 5:15 a.m. Nov. 24, using the victim’s illegally obtained credit card information.

More Than $10K in Jewelry, Other Items Stolen

A resident in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road reported Dec. 3 that earrings, an iPad, various women‘s coats and child’s bank were stolen from the home between 5 p.m. Oct. 10, and 5 p.m. Oct. 17. The estimated amount of the items is more than $10,000.

Stop Sign Vandalized

An officer discovered at around 2:16 p.m. Dec. 4 that a stop sign at the intersection of Forest Street and Garland Avenue was vandalized with blue and orange paint. Public Works removed the sign, and repair costs are estimated at $50.

Disorderly Conduct

Two Skokie women were accused of threatening an individual during a Dec. 6 incident in the 800 block of Elm Street.

Victoria Sigal, 25, of the 4800 block of Carol Street, Skokie, was cited for creating a breach of peace by verbally threatening a victim and kicking the victim’s vehicle.

Irina Sigal, 63, also of the 4800 block of Carol Street, Skokie, was cited for creating a breach of peace by verbally threatening the victim and impeding the victim’s freedom to leave.

Their court date is Jan. 23.
