Winnetka Surveying Residents on Quality of Life

A survey will be mailed to all 4,300 households soon.

The following is from the Village of Winnetka:

Village officials are pleased to announce that a comprehensive quality of life survey will be mailed to residents within the next few weeks. Questionnaires are being sent to all 4,300 households in which the Village will ask for feedback on Village services, and opinions on key policy questions. The survey will also be available online for those who prefer to respond electronically. A final report of the results of this inaugural citizen survey will be used by Village officials to guide future budget decisions, gain a sense of how residents feel about living in Winnetka, and learn what the community envisions for the future.

At a recent Council meeting, Village President E. Gene Greable urged residents to “...look forward to this survey and participate, as the Village will have a document that shows how this community feels and how they want the Village Council to go forward.”

The survey will be administered by National Research Center (NRC), an independent survey research firm. NRC designed the questionnaire and survey procedure based on their experience with hundreds of local government units, both small and large. They use scientific weighting of responses to ensure accurate and reliable results. Each household is strongly encouraged to participate. Survey responses will remain anonymous.

Please complete your Winnetka Citizen Survey – the Village Council looks forward to your input! Residents with questions about the survey may contact Megan Pierce in the Manager’s Office at 847-716-3543.
