Winnetka Tree Lighting Scheduled To Usher In Holiday Season

Santa, sweets and songs are set to bring the Winnetka community together in time-honored fashion in Dwyer Park early next month.

WINNETKA, IL — Winnetka is gearing up to kick off the holiday season early next month with its annual tree lighting, a cherished tradition for the community.

The tree lighting ceremony, set for 6 p.m. on Dec. 5, will feature caroling, treats, and a visit from Santa, who will be escorted to the park by the Winnetka Fire Department.

Hosted by the village, park district and the Winnetka-Northfield-Glencoe Chamber of Commerce, the event runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Dwyer Park, 521 Birch St.
