2 Killed When Car Hits House In Fiery Crash In Woodridge
The electric car crashed into a home in the 2400 block of Kildeer Sunday night, according to Woodridge police.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Two people are dead after an electric car slammed into a home in the 2400 block of Kildeer Ave. in Woodridge. The fiery crash took place around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, according to Woodridge police.
ABC7 reports that the car involved in the fatal crash was a Tesla and speeding may have been a factor.
Police say the car veered off Janes Avenue, hit the home and became engulfed in flames. The fire also spread to part of the house.

Both people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. No one inside the house was hurt.
By 10:30 p.m., firefighters from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District had removed the car from the home, according to a social media post.

The identity of the decedents was not available as of Monday afternoon, pending notification of their next of kin.
