2 People Hurt In 'Targeted' Shooting: Woodridge Police
According to early investigation, Woodridge police said the shooter targeted both victims in the July 1 shooting.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Detectives with the Woodridge Police Department are investigating after two people were hurt during a Wednesday night shooting near Janes Avenue and Waterbury Drive, according to a news release from the police department. Woodridge police said officers were called to the area for gunshot reports at 11:29 p.m., where they found a shooting victim and applied first aid.
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department took the victim to Bolingbrook Hospital, where according to police, another victim had brought themselves after they were shot during the same incident.
According to early investigation, police said the shooter targeted both people, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Lisle Police Department, Darien Police Department, and Bolingbrook Police Department helped Woodridge police on site where the shooting took place, according to the news release.
