3 Home Burglaries, 1 Theft Reported in Woodridge Last Week: Police
One resident lost nearly $2,000 to one of the burglaries.
Three residential burglaries and a theft were reported in Woodridge last week.
Two of the burglaries were reported Jan. 6, according to village police reports. The first had occurred sometime between Dec. 30, 2016, and Jan. 4 in a residentās Janes Avenue home. The resident lives in the 8000 block of the street and lost a watch and necklace to the burglary.
Between noon and 3 p.m. Jan. 6, another resident said their house in the 8300 block of Route 83 was robbed of $1,900 worth of electronics, including a television and two gaming systems. Police think the suspect could have gained entry to the home through a window.

The final residential burglary reported took place around 9 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 9000 block of Witham Lane. A burglar somehow broke into the house and stole a watch and cash, though police didnāt specify how much money was lost.
The same day, a Woodridge resident reported the theft of a UPS package they were expecting around 11 a.m. at their Harvest Avenue home. The package was stolen from the residentās front porch.
