Murder-Suicide Under Investigation In Woodridge: Report

WOORIDGE, IL — Woodridge police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in a Woodridge townhome, according to several news reports.

Fox 32 reported that three men were found in the townhome Friday night in what police believe was a double murder-suicide.

Several other outlets, including the Chicago Sun-Times and NBC Chicago, are reporting that two people were found dead, and a third is not expected to survive.

The Sun-Times reported that two men were found dead in the 3500 block of 83rd Street and a third man, believed to be the shooter, was taken to an area hospital but not expected to survive.

Gunshots were reported at the townhome in the 3500 block of 83rd Street around 9 p.m. Police say a woman and at least once child escaped the home. Another man who was hiding in a hallway sustained minor injuries, FOX reports.

According to NBC Chicago, a woman and two children were able to escape from the home, located in the Townhomes at High Crest.
