43 Tickets Issued By Woodridge Cops During Memorial Day Crackdown
The increased patrols were part of a statewide traffic safety initiative.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police issued 43 tickets during increased patrols leading up to Memorial Day weekend. These included ordinance-related arrests for obstructing a police officer.
Here's the breakdown of the citations and arrests that took place as part of the safety campaign.
- 15 speeding tickets
- 12 tickets for safety belt violations
- 7 tickets for distracted driving
- 6 miscellaneous tickets
- 3 arrests for obstructing a police officer
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and
spread the word that seat belts save lives,” Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement.
