52 Tickets Issued During Memorial Day Crackdown In Woodridge
Woodridge police issued dozens of tickets during a recent traffic safety campaign.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Police in Woodridge issued 52 tickets during a recent traffic safety campaign that coincided with the Memorial Day holiday.
The following citations were issued:
- 23 speeding tickets
- 7 seatbelt tickets
- 2 tickets for driving with a suspended or revoked license
- 4 tickets for distracted driving
- 1 ticket for a carseat safety violation
- 15 tickets for miscellaneous violations
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and
spread the word that seat belts save lives,” Woodridge Police Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement.
