Additional Playgrounds Reopen In Woodridge During Phase 4
The park district asks Woodridge playground visitors to please follow guidelines posted below and at the playground sites.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Seven more playgrounds have reopened in Woodridge as Illinois is now in Phase 4 of the Gov. J.B. Pritzker's Reopening Plan amid the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Woodridge Park District, the following playgrounds are now open:
- Fred C. Hohnke Community Center
- Echo Point
- Edgewood School
- Forest View
- Ide’s Grove West
- Somerset
- Westminster
According to the park district, the playgrounds at 63rd Street, Castaldo, Ide's Grove East, Janes, Seven Bridges, Summerhill and Sunnydale Parks are also back open.

The park district asks playground visitors to please follow these guidelines, which will be posted at the playgrounds:
- No more than 50 people will be permitted at a playground at any given time.
- Maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet from others; face masks are encouraged when that distance can't be maintained.
- Do not play on the playground if you are sick.
- Equipment is not sanitized; "use at your own risk."
The park district also said that playground drinking fountains and portable toilets are unavailable until further notice.
