Cops Issue 25 Tickets During St. Patrick's Day Crackdown In Woodridge
Woodridge drivers were cited for speeding, driving with a revoked license and other violations during a recent safety campaign.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge cops doled out 25 tickets to drivers for speeding, driving with a revoked license and other violations during a recent crackdown that spanned St. Patrick's Day weekend.
The following tickets were issued during this period of increased enforcement:
- 18 speeding tickets
- 1 seatbelt ticket
- 1 ticket for driving with a revoked license
- 5 tickets for various offenses
“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason – to save lives,” said Woodridge Police Department Deputy Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement.

Woodridge's St. Patrick's Day safety initiative was part of the statewide Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaigns.
