Hobson Corner Park Splash Pad Reopens With Guidelines

The splash pad, located at 2910 Hobson Road, is now open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily with a maximum capacity of 25 people and a time limit.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Park District announced Friday that the Hobson Corner Park Splash Pad is back open. The splash pad, located at 2910 Hobson Road, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily with a maximum capacity of 25 people, and a 90-minute playtime limit to all fair use for everyone, the park district said.

In an effort to keep guests safe during the coronavirus pandemic, the park district announced several other splash pad guidelines, including:

  • Do not enter or use splash pad area if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or any other contagious disease or infectious condition symptoms such as a cold.*
  • Wear face coverings and/or socially/physically distance 6-feet outside blue-colored splash pad surface area. Exceptions can be made for children younger than 2 years of age or people with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent one from safely wearing a face covering. *
  • Splash pad water is chemically treated and is not suitable for drinking.
  • Drinking fountain is closed due to COVID-19*; please bring your own water. Glass containers are not permitted.
  • General splash pad rules still apply (see posted rules signage).
  • General cleaning and maintenance is typically performed daily.
  • Use at your own risk.
  • Failure to comply with capacity and/or IDPH guidelines may result in the closing of the splash pad.
  • No water toys, rafts, or tubes permitted.

There is no fee for using the splash pad, according to the park district.
