Police Investigate Child's Drowning in Downers Grove
The young girl was found unconscious June 19 in a pool at a private club.
Downers Grove, IL — Police are investigating the drowning of a 4-year-old girl in Downers Grove.
Downers Grove Police and Fire departments were called at 7:37 p.m. June 19 to help the girl, who was found unconscious in the pool at the Downers Grove Swim and Racquet Club, according to police.
The girl was given CPR, and paramedics took her to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. She couldn't be revived, police reported.

The girl's name is not being released out of respect for her family. The incident is still under investigation.
