Police Investigating Gunshots, Criminal Damage In Woodridge
Police are investigating after three cars were hit by bullets when several shots were fired Thursday night in Woodridge.
WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Police Department is investigating after three cars were hit by bullets when several shots were fired Thursday night near 7499 Woodward Avenue. According to a news release from the police department, officers were called to the area at 9:28 p.m. near the tennis courts for a report of gunshots. When officers got there, all those involved had left the area, according to the news release.
Witnesses indicated there was an argument between two groups of people, according to police, adding that a white female and black male left in a black Kia, and two black males left in a black Chevy Tahoe.
During the incident, three cars not involved in the altercation were hit with bullets, according to the news release.
