Summer Book Clubs for Children
Children, preschool through grade 7, should bring their library card to the Woodridge Public Library’s Children’s Desk to register for a Summer Reading club starting June 1:
Wee Readers Club: For children younger than 2 years old: prize is earned when activities are completed.
Book Club 1: For children reading E Picture Books, E+ Readers or children who don’t yet read on their own: encourages reading aloud and gives pre-readers a chance to earn a prize for every 10 books.
Book Club 2: For children reading on their own: read whatever you want, keep track of time, and earn a prize for every 5 hours of reading—based on a daily reading goal of 20 to 30 minutes.
Drawings for Book Club 1 and 2 held weekly: prizes donated by local businesses.
Visit the Children’s Desk to pick up Summer Reading brochures that include all program and prize details!
Programs are free and open to children living in Woodridge or attending a Woodridge school. A card from the child’s home library is required.
