Three Families Displaced by Woodridge Row House Fire
The Monday morning blaze was extinguished in about 30 minutes.

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District was called around 3 a.m. Monday to a reported structure fire on Newport Drive in Woodridge.
First arriving crews reported heavy smoke coming from the structure and confirmed a blaze in an eight-unit attached row house, said deputy chief Keith Krestan.
All occupants were evacuated, an no injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished within 30 minutes of fire crew’s arrival.

The fire caused heavy damage to the second floor units. Krestan said three families have been temporarily displaced.
He said the fire is still under investigation, but it appears the blaze may have started in a first floor utility room.

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District was assisted at the scene by the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District and the Downers Grove Fire Department. Naperville, Lombard and Wheaton fire departments covered Lisle-Woodridge stations during the call.
