Weekend: Veggiefest in Naperville; Motorcycle Fair in Lisle

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Woodridge for Aug. 9-11: 

·       It’s Naperville Veggiefest 2013! This weekend it will be all about fresh veggies, live music, food demonstrations and more as one of the largest vegetarian food festivals comes to Naperville. The 8th annual Veggie Fest will be held Saturday, Aug. 10 and Sunday, Aug. 11 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the grounds of the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center, 4 South 175 Naperville Rd. ·       Teens can take a free practice ACT exam at the Woodridge Public Library on Saturday. “Practice makes perfect, courtesy of Sylvan Learning of Woodridge, for high school students.” At time of writing, there are still openings. Check in is at 12:50 p.m. and the test begins at 1:00 p.m.

·       Saturday is the 9th Annual “Sturgis in Lisle” motorcycle event at the Lisle Harley-Davidson (2595 Ogden Avenue, Lisle) featuring food by Pizzeria Bombola, beverages (including alcohol,) live music from Slippery When Wet, and, of course, huge deals from tons of vendors on motorcycles and motorcycle parts and paraphernalia. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
