Weekend: Woodridge Park District's All-Village Garage Sale

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Woodridge for the weekend of Aug. 2-4.

·      Saturday is the “Biggest Sale in Woodridge,” the Woodridge Park District’s All-Village Garage Sale! “The 20th Annual All Village Garage Sale is back again! Come early for great prices on hidden treasures at Woodridge’s biggest garage sale of the year. This event will be held at Echo Point Park, which features a beautifully shaded trail for you to follow as you search for a bargain. Munchies are available for purchase to snack on while you shop. Concessions will be coordinated and sold by a Relay for Life Team.” The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Echo Point Park, 8115 Woodridge Drive.

·      The Chicago Red Stars women’s soccer club has a home game (at Benedictine University in Lisle) against Seattle Reign FC at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night. More information is available at the Red Stars website.

·      The Woodridge Public Library presents a gardening course: Lawns Be Gone: Groundcovers Rule! “Learn how to remove your lawn without digging it up and how to border your groundcover from the grass. Kathleen Obirek will inspire you to plant a tapestry of colorful, reliable, and interesting groundcovers that pill put the "wow" into your landscape.” The course is at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, 3 Plaza Drive, Woodridge.
