Weekend: Woodridge Rotary's Mini-Triathlon is Sunday

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Woodridge for Aug. 17-18:

·      The time has arrived: Sunday is the 14th Annual Mini Triathlon, hosted by the Rotary Club of Woodridge. Registration has closed; hopefully you’re already signed up! If not, stop by Cypress Cove anyway and check out the festivities! The main event starts at a (chilly) 7:00 a.m. at 8301 S. Janes Avenue.

·       The Downers Grove South High School Mustangs marching band are holding a “massive yard sale and car wash” on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at DGS (1436 Norfolk St, Downers Grove,) to help fund their January trip to perform at the 2014 Sugar Bowl. “We have toys, sporting goods, clothing-$1 for all shirts and $2 for all pants, bikes, electronics, furniture, antique school desk, books, winter coats, boots, fancy dresses, outdoor décor, hammocks, camping equipment, booster seats, and so much more!”

·      All weekend is the Bolingbrook Jubilee next door to Woodridge (375 W. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook.) It starts at 6:00 p.m. Friday night, and goes through Saturday and Sunday, offering free music, food vendors, bingo, a car show a craft show and a carnival. More information can be found here.
