Woodridge 68 Earns Communications Awards

Three Awards of Excellence, the state's highest award, were presented to Amy Melinder, Director of Community Engagement for Woodridge 68.

Woodridge School District 68 was recently recognized at the 2015 Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association’s (INSPRA) Communications Contest and Golden Achievement Awards luncheon at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Oak Brook on September 18.

Three Awards of Excellence, the state’s highest award, were presented to Amy Melinder, Director of Community Engagement for Woodridge 68.

The winning entries included Update: 68 in the Newsletters category, E-Update: 68 in the Electronic Publications category, and Board Briefs in the Electronic Publications category.

Entries were judged against criteria of excellence and industry best practices,and only those receiving top scores in a variety of areas received awards.Members of NSPRA chapters in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin judged the entries.

“The contest recognizes the amazing communications work done by our members. It also is yet another form of professional development offered to INSPRA members, as each person who enters receives valuable feedbackfrom the contest judges,” said INSPRA President Danielle Brink, Director of Community Relations for DuPage High School District 88.
