Woodridge To Celebrate Unity In The Community: How To Participate

The celebration coincides with Independence Day weekend, calling for residents to decorate the outside their home with red, white and blue.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Village of Woodridge invites residents to celebrate Woodridge by participating in Unity in the Community, happening now through July 6. According to a news release from the Village, the celebration coincides with Independence Day weekend, and calls for residents to decorate their home, yard or balcony with red, white and blue. Participants may also enter a contest for the best decorated home.

According to the news release, the contest winner may choose a gift certificate from a Woodridge restaurant of their choice from the list on dinewoodridge.com.

“Let’s show our community togetherness and thank all of our community heroes: first responders, police, fire, veterans, and the women and men in active military service," Woodridge Mayor Gina Cunningham said. "We give our heartfelt thanks for their dedicated service and all they do for our community. We hope everyone has fun and gets involved!”
