Woodridge Community Recognition Deadline; Board Meeting Tonight

Stuff that's happening in and around Woodridge for July 25.

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Woodridge today, July 25, 2013:

·      Thursday is the deadline to nominate people for the Woodridge Community Recognition program. Nomination forms are available at the Village of Woodridge’s website. Categories are citizen, business, association, employee and youth-under-21; awardees are announced by the Village Board in the fall.

·      The Woodridge Village Board is having their regular board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Werch Board Room at Village Hall, Five Plaza Drive, to be followed by a workshop session beginning at 8 p.m. Among other things, they are set to proclaim a Downers Grove South Boys’ Volleyball Team Day. ·      State Rep. Ron Sandack, whose 81st District includes a portion of Woodridge, will be holding “mobile office hours” at the Naper Boulevard Library, 2035 S. Naper Blvd., Naperville, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday. He writes: “Representatives from my District Office will collect questions and concerns and help residents access state services.”
