Job Summary

Wilton is looking for a bilingual proofreader/copy editor to join the Creative Services team to edit its diverse variety of print and web projects at every stage of production for accuracy and consistency.

Reporting to the Director of Editorial & Marketing Communications, the ideal candidate will demonstrate superior communication skills, which include a thorough command of the English and Spanish language in spelling, writing, editing, grammar and attention to detail.  Knowledge of AP Style with the flexibility to learn and apply Wilton preferences is key.

The person will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships and ordering all translations.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of three years solid experience in proofreading and editing.
• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English, and be able to write and proofread both.
• Proficient in grammar and spelling. Strong knowledge of AP Style.
• Must be well organized, detailed oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to collaborate in a team environment.
• Familiarity with or fluency in French a plus but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of and interest in baking and cake decorating a plus.

Software

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Working knowledge of the Mac OS X operating system
• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
