Woodridge Police Reports: Car Burglaries, Obstructing Identification

Woodridge, IL —
A car burglary occurred around 3:30 p.m. June 3 in a parking lot in the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue. Someone entered an unlocked car and stole a wallet that had been left on the front seat.

At approximately 8:19 p.m. June 4, Ernie Smith, 32 of the 400 block of Seneca Lane in Bolingbrook, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and obstructing identification after officers made contact with him on behalf of another agency regarding an unrelated incident.
A car burglary occurred sometime between 3 p.m. June 6 and 10 a.m. June 7 in the 7400 block of Woodward Avenue. Someone entered an unlocked car and stole a tablet, an iPhone, a Bose bluetooth speaker and a pair of sunglasses. Estimated value of lost items, $512.
