Woodridge Police Reports: Scratched Cars, Broken Windows, DUI

The Woodridge Police Department reported crimes and arrests through May 20.

Criminal damage to a car occurred sometime between 9 p.m. May 12 and 7:14 a.m. May 13 in the 2700 block of Mitchell Drive. Someone used a metal object to scratch the trunk of a parked car.

At approximately 1:49 a.m. May 14, Jose Cajero, 44 of the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue in Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Woodward Avenue at Egerton Court.

Criminal damage to a car occurred sometime overnight May 15 while the car was parked in the 2200 block of Country Club Drive. Someone scratched the trunk, front and rear bumpers and sides of the car.

A burglary from a car took place between 7:30 p.m. May 17 and 5 a.m. May 18 in the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue. Someone entered a locked car and removed miscellaneous items valued at $885.

A burglary from a car took place at about 7:15 p.m. May 18 in the 8000 block of Willow Wood Drive. Someone took an iPhone from an unlocked car.

Criminal damage to a car took place between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. May 18 in the 2600 block of Forest Drive. Someone scratched the passenger side corner and rear hatch of a parked van.

Criminal damage to a car occurred overnight May 19 in the 2800 block of Hobson Road. Someone smashed out the rear window of a parked car. Nothing was taken from the car.

Criminal damage to a car took place overnight May 19 in the 8200 block of Chesterton Drive. Someone broke a side window of a parked car.

At about 2:13 p.m. May 19, an 18-year-old girl was charged with criminal damage to property following the investigation of an incident in the 2400 block of Emerald Court.
