Woodridge Seeking Feedback on Brush Drop-Off and Mulch Pick-Up

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Woodridge for Wednesday, Aug. 7:

·      The Village of Woodridge is looking for feedback on the brush-drop-off and mulch-pick-up site at 71st and Woodridge that is open on the morning of the second Saturday of each month, “in response to resident feedback on the program and to be used as a part of the current Woodridge Town Center Planning Effort.” Help them out by answering this short survey.

·      Walk-in student registration for new students (including non-pre-registered kindergarteners) in Woodridge District 68 runs from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at D68 schools. (Registration for returning students is Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

·      The Steely Dan tribute band Deacon Blues is playing a free concert at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center (375 W. Briarcliff Rd., Bolingbrook) starting at 7:30 p.m. “The musicians in DEACON BLUES have played to sold-out audiences at multiple theatre venues, procured standing-room only crowds at festivals and nightclubs, and have appeared on WGN-TV's Live Performances segment of the Morning News.”
