Dist. 115 Seeks Community Members for New Advisory Committee

The application process will begin Thursday.

is forming a Citizens’ Advisory Committee to meet monthly to advise the superintendent regarding educational and other issues facing the District.

“We’re looking for a cross-section of the community to productively discuss, deliberate and advise district officials,” Superintendent Scott Wakeley said.

The Citizens’ Advisory Committee aligns to the district goal to increase stakeholder involvement and shared decision-making through two-way communication. The purpose of the committee is to facilitate cooperation and communication in educational affairs between the school district and the community.

Interested applicants may apply by visiting the district website at www.y115.org and completing the electronic application. The application process will begin Thursday. All applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7. The Selection Committee will review applications and notify selected members prior to the first planned meeting in early October.
