The 25-year-old resident of Glenwood Avenue was taken to the Kendall County Jail on charges of aggravated battery, battery and resisting.

YORKVILLE, IL — A Joliet woman was arrested July 4 after police say she battered an employee who intervened during an altercation at a Yorkville business.

Yorkville police said officers responded to a business in the 4000 block of North Bridge Street just after noon Tuesday to assist employees with removing a group of patrons from the property.

As the group was being removed, police said they began fighting among themselves, and that one group member was battered by another. An employee of the business intervened, attempting to separate the two group members, and was battered by 25-year-old Brandi Meline of Joliet, police said.
