These Indiana Universities Are Among The Best In The World

U.S. News & World report released a new set of rankings, designating the best global universities and the United States leads the way with some of the best higher education institutions in the world, claiming the top four spots on the list. Among the universities ranked as the best global universities by U.S. News, it comes as no surprise that a few of those schools are right here in Indiana.

The rankings evaluated 1,250 universities on the list across 74 countries and 221 American universities made the cut. To come up with the rankings, U.S. News first created a pool of universities using various sources, including a global reputation survey. The rankings were then calculated using 13 indicators and weights that U.S. News chose to measure global research performance. (You can see the full methodology here.)

Overall, four Indiana Universities made the list:

Purdue University (103)

Indiana University Bloomington (129)

University of Notre Dame (181)

Indiana University-Purdue University--Indianapolis (304)

IU Kelley School of Business was also on the list.
