• Dec. 11: Olive Twist receives facade grant (fwbusiness.com) — Auburn’s Olive Twist just received a façade grant, part of a growing city program that’s invested nearly $290,000 into downtown building improvements this year. Local owners of buildings 50 years and older can still apply for up to $15,000 in matching funds and additional design-cost reimbursement to upgrade their storefronts within Auburn’s economic revitalization area.
   

• Goodbye SW racetrack, hello Auburn Motorsport Park (wane.com) — A major new Auburn Motorsports Park is planned for the former Kruse Auction Park site near I-69, promising to draw visitors and investment directly into Auburn. Backed by well-known northeast Indiana businessmen and welcomed by Auburn’s mayor and council leadership, the FIA-level road course could spur new housing, hotels, and dining, with completion targeted for summer 2028.
   

• Auburn native becomes first woman to call Indy Fuel games (21alivenews.com) — An Auburn-born hockey fan, Butler senior Eva Hallman, has become the first woman to call play-by-play for the Indy Fuel after years of interning and learning from Fort Wayne Komets broadcaster Shane Albarani. Her journey from childhood games to solo broadcasts highlights a local native breaking barriers in professional hockey media while inspiring future broadcasters.
