• Cedar Lake Woman Charged After Investigators Note Spending Discrepancies In Cub Scouts Account (regionnewssource.org) — A Cedar Lake woman has been charged with felony theft after investigators say Cub Scouts funds were used for personal expenses over several months. According to a Lake County probable cause affidavit, she allegedly made dozens of questionable debit card transactions, later admitting to unauthorized use and repaying part of the money. The remaining disputed amount was calculated at just over $1,700.
