CPD is using the incident to remind residents to secure idling vehicles, keep an eye on them in cold weather, and promptly report suspicious activity.

Sylvan Scrapple by After Architecture: Freestanding Nonlinear Log Wall Exhibit (globaldesignnews.com) — A new freestanding timber installation called Sylvan Scrapple has transformed an underused planter between the Visitors Center and library in downtown Columbus into a wooded gathering spot. Created for the Exhibit Columbus biennial, the project reuses local waste wood and salvaged bricks from historic buildings, and has already earned an honorable mention from The Chicago Athenaeum.
