HSE Schools Celebrate Two State Championships in ‘We The People' Competition (larryinfishers.com) — Fishers students just brought home major civic education honors, with Fishers Junior High winning a state championship in the We The People competition and Fishers High School placing third. Hamilton Southeastern High School also earned a state title, and Fall Creek Junior High finished third, highlighting strong civic education across the district.
   

2. Hamilton Southeastern Schools redistricting plans finalized (youarecurrent.com) — Families in Fishers will see new elementary and middle school boundaries in 2026-27 after the Hamilton Southeastern Schools board unanimously approved revised redistricting maps. Following parent feedback, trustees adjusted lines to keep more neighborhoods together while still easing overcrowding at schools like Southeastern Elementary and better filling under-capacity buildings across the growing Fishers community.
   

3. HEPL launches annual Season of Giving (youarecurrent.com) — Fishers residents can support neighbors in need through Hamilton East Public Library’s Season of Giving, with donations accepted at the Fishers Library now through January 11, 2026. Hamilton Southeastern High School students helped promote the drive, which also includes family-friendly programs and community-focused events.
   

4. Braun talks business at OneZone luncheon (youarecurrent.com) — Indiana Gov. Mike Braun visited the FORUM Event Center in Fishers to talk with OneZone Chamber members about how local businesses and state government can partner on childcare, energy needs, and economic growth. He highlighted Hamilton County’s success, urged business leaders to help drive solutions rather than rely on the state, and noted OneZone’s role serving Fishers, Carmel, and northern Hamilton County.
   

5. WISH-TV partners with Toys for Tots to bring joy to central Indiana children (wishtv.com) — Fishers residents can support Toys for Tots by dropping new, unwrapped toys at Ed Martin Nissan in Fishers, one of many donation sites across central Indiana. The WISH-TV partnership aims to surpass last year’s toy total and especially needs gifts for babies and teens before the drive ends this week.
