📰 News we're reading

• Tigers sweep Mudsock swimming (readthereporter.com) — Fishers High School’s boys and girls swim teams dominated rival Hamilton Southeastern in this week’s Mudsock meet at the HSE aquatic center, winning both meets and most individual events. Local standouts like Emily and Audrey Wolf, Ashlyn Hayes, Camden Askren, and Alex Koo led the way as Fishers swept relays and diving to secure convincing team victories.

• This John Green young adult novel is the most banned book in America (indystar.com) — Fishers readers may remember when John Green’s novels were pulled from the teen section at Hamilton East Public Library, a move that helped spark his high-profile fight against book bans. New data now shows his “Looking for Alaska” is the most-banned book in the country since 2021, amid broader debates over LGBTQ+ and race-related titles in Indiana schools and libraries.
