Recent Indiana Rainfall Sets New April Record
Indiana residents are cleaning up after recent rain that set a new April record for the state: Report

ACROSS INDIANA — Some Indiana residents are putting their rain boots on and cleaning up water after Tuesday's thunderstorms sent lots of rainfall and hail to certain areas. In several counties including Hamilton, Flood Warnings were reported as nearly four inches of rain fell, contributing to the already-wet ground from Sunday night's several inches of snow.
Wednesday brought zero help as the temperatures in the mid-30s and snow flurries did nothing to dry up the wet or flooded grounds.
AP News reports several central and southern Indiana schools were closed Wednesday or on two-hour delays thanks to local streets being flooded, adding this recent rain set a new one-day rainfall record of 3.90 inches for the month of April, which was 3.06 inches on April 19, 2011.
