• Fortville officer unhurt in crash while stopping to help ISP trooper (greenfieldreporter.com) — A Fortville police officer escaped injury while helping an Indiana State Police trooper at a jackknifed semi crash on I-465 near Allisonville Road, where an alleged drunk driver struck the trooper’s car. The trooper suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is now recovering at home, while ISP leaders are again urging drivers to avoid endangering first responders.
