Funded by grants and led by the Gary Arts Council, the project uses colorful designs and QR codes so riders can discover local theaters, festivals, and dance groups while adding pride and beauty to everyday commutes.
   

• INDOT: Be safe, plan ahead, drive sober for holiday travel (dailyjournal.net) — If you’re driving in or out of Gary for the holidays, INDOT is warning that traffic will be heavier and urging everyone to buckle up, put phones away, and never drive impaired. Hoosier Helper patrols will be active on interstates serving the Gary area, offering free roadside assistance and traffic control so travelers can reach their destinations safely.
