• EDC Awards More than $13K in Workforce Teacher Grants (wrbiradio.com) — More than $13,000 in Workforce Preparation Teacher Grants are heading to Greensburg and Decatur County classrooms, boosting hands-on career and STEM learning for local students. Greensburg Community Schools, St. Mary’s, and Decatur County Community Schools will use the funds for internships, greenhouse projects, makerspace construction, and early career exploration. The next Opportunity Expo is set for February at Greensburg Community High School.
   

• Pratt Named Cultural Council Director (wrbiradio.com) — A longtime Greensburg educator and historian, John Pratt will become part-time director of the Arts and Cultural Council of Decatur County on January 1, helping guide local arts and cultural programming. Based in Greensburg, the council is expanding beyond an all-volunteer model, thanks in part to financial support from Lynda Smith, and is inviting residents, artists, and businesses to get involved or donate.
   

• Recipe of the Week – December 15, 2025 (wtreradio.com) — A cherished Christmas Conserve recipe from Mrs. Orville Pitts of Greensburg brings a taste of local history to your holiday table. Featured in the FORE Cookbook from Decatur County REMC, the conserve blends apricots, pineapple, lemon, cherries, and nuts into a sweet, old-fashioned spread. It’s a simple way to add Greensburg flavor to your celebrations or gift baskets.
