Forest Preserve Hosts Family Campout At Goodenow Grove

Get the family together and come out to Goodenow Grove for a Family Campout!

Never taken the kids camping before? No problem! A Forest Preserve District of Will County team will help with setting up and be there with entertainment and fun for the whole family. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join!

The campout will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, and wrap up at noon Sunday, Sept. 28.

Registration is required by Monday, Sept. 22: call 815-727-8700 or register online. The cost is $5 per person.

All meals, beverages and snacks must be provided on your own. A detailed list of Forest Preserve campsite rules can be reviewed online. No dogs, please.

The district has a limited supply of camping equipment available for rental. For more program details or questions, contact recreation coordinator Em Wilcher at ewilcher@fpdwc.org.

After registration, you will be contacted by phone to verify your campsite accommodation. Please be sure to provide a valid phone number. A full program agenda will be sent to enrolled participants.

The entirety of the program will take place outdoors. Please dress accordingly and prepare for the weather.
