• Lawrence Township Schools announce new Belzer Middle School principal (wthr.com) — Lawrence Township families have a new leader at Belzer Middle School, as the school board has approved Pike Township administrator Kendra Randle as principal. Her hiring follows the resignation of former principal Victor Bush, who stepped down in October after multiple employees accused him of sexual assault. Randle currently leads Eagle Creek Elementary and will transition into the Belzer role.
   

• Cold weather impacting pipes, HVAC units in Indy (fox59.com) — A Lawrence pizzeria is battling a broken HVAC system that’s left its back room near 50 degrees and forced earlier weekend closings, cutting into business. Local heating experts say many Indy-area homes and businesses are seeing frozen pipes and furnace problems, and they’re urging residents to drip faucets, avoid overworking thermostats, and schedule checks before even colder January weather hits.
