• Scholarships Available for Future Educators (thepaper24-7.com) — Lizton residents should know that State Rep. Jeff Thompson of Lizton is backing a generous state scholarship that pays future Indiana teachers up to $10,000 a year for four years. High school seniors and college students statewide can apply online through Feb. 28, 2026, if they meet GPA or test-score requirements and commit to teaching in Indiana for at least five years.
