• Speeding Stop Near Montgomery Leads to Felony OVWI Arrest (wamwamfm.com) — Law enforcement stopped a speeding vehicle on U.S. 50 near Montgomery and arrested a 26-year-old Loogootee man after observing signs of impairment and finding suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. Because of a prior OVWI conviction within seven years, his new operating-while-intoxicated charge was elevated to a Level 6 felony, and he now faces multiple criminal counts.
