• PAYMENT PLAN: Senators Say ‘Sweet Spot' Still Elusive on Bill to Curb Medical Debt Garnishments (indianacitizen.org) — New Albany residents may want to watch a new Indiana Senate proposal that would limit wage garnishments and home liens tied to medical debt for lower-income patients statewide. Lawmakers are still revising the bill after pushback from hospitals and collection agencies, but supporters say it could give Hoosier families more breathing room when medical crises lead to big bills.
