• Alleged shoplifting leads to New Castle police chases, crash and 3 arrests (wthr.com) — A reported shoplifting at Hibbett Sports in New Castle escalated into two police chases, a crash involving three cruisers, and three arrests Tuesday afternoon. Police say suspects tried to flee in an SUV, with one person allegedly swapping into the driver’s seat mid-pursuit. All three now face multiple preliminary charges, with formal decisions up to the Henry County Prosecutor.
