• 65-year-old man dies in head-on collision in southern Indiana (whas11.com) — A 65-year-old Pekin man died Monday morning in a head-on collision on State Road 135 just five miles south of Salem, a route many locals travel daily. Indiana State Police say his southbound car crossed the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle; the other driver suffered minor injuries as investigators await toxicology results.
   

• Southern Indiana couple arrested after 10-month-old possibly exposed to drug (wdrb.com) — A 10-month-old was first rushed to a hospital in Salem then transferred to Louisville in what doctors called a life-threatening medical emergency possibly tied to illegal drug exposure. After an investigation by Indiana State Police and child services, David and Angela Foutch were arrested on neglect charges and are now held in the Washington County Jail.
