Oct. 10: Veterans Health and Resource Fair at South Bend Armory

The Veterans Health and Resource Fair will help Veterans & their family members to receive filing claims for benefits & other resources.

The VA continues to stand for this mission just as when the agency adopted its motto in 1959.
Unfortunately, many eligible Veterans are not enrolled in VA Health Benefits. An estimated 60 percent of Veterans are not using their VA benefits.

To help ensure Veterans are taking advantage of their hard-earned benefits, the Patriot Agency, Indiana American Legion Department, Advocate Health Advisors insurance brokerage and Veterans of Foreign Wars are hosting a free event for Veterans and their family members.

The Veterans Health and Resource Fair on Oct. 10 will provide information and resources for all Veterans to receive help with resources, file claims for benefits and discuss other benefits. Veterans will be able to meet with representatives from Veterans Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Michigan Veteran Service Agency and other Veteran nonprofit agencies. Advocate Health Advisors, a Veteran-owned insurance brokerage, would be honored to recognize any Vietnam Veterans or surviving spouses on this day.

When: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Oct. 10, 2020

Note: Veterans are encouraged to bring their discharge papers (DD-214). If you cannot find your discharge papers, a representative will assist you in obtaining copies. Help also will be offered for Veterans who are missing service medals or badges.
