• Buchanan: Communities in District 7 Get More Than $2.5 Million (thepaper24-7.com) — Whitestown is set to receive a full $1 million state grant to help repair and improve local roads and bridges through Indiana’s Community Crossings Matching Grant Program. The funding, part of more than $2.5 million awarded in Senate District 7, will be matched by local dollars and is intended to strengthen transportation infrastructure for residents and businesses. 
• Public input sought on Boone County renewable energy ordinance (youarecurrent.com) — Whitestown residents should know a proposed Boone County ordinance would regulate large solar and other renewable projects only in unincorporated areas, while Whitestown keeps control through its own board. The draft limits solar field size, requires environmental studies, and mandates funds for land restoration and road repairs. A public hearing and vote are set for Dec. 17 in Lebanon.
