• Altoona man arrested after police chase ends in crash (kcci.com) — An Altoona resident was arrested after Des Moines police say he fled an attempted traffic stop in a stolen vehicle, crashed, and briefly ran before being caught by a K-9 unit. Both he and a passenger, who allegedly had drugs and active warrants, were treated for minor injuries and booked into Polk County Jail.
